markets
Which Sunday market in London would you recommend for our daughters, ages 14 and 11, who love to shop for fun, new (not vintage) shirts, jewelry and accessories at bargain prices?

If it's bargain prices you're after, I think it would have to be Petticoat Lane, but the goods are the same sort of mass-produced stuff you could probably get anywhere.
Spitalfields market nearby is much more quirky and fun, but not particularly cheap. Further on, up Brick Lane at the corner of Hanbury St (or maybe the next up, I can never remember), there's an indoor market of even more alternative fashion.
The downside is, the area can get very crowded, and you'll need strategies for keeping in touch, agreeing rendezvous points for meeting up from time to time and so on.

But every 11-14 yo I know gets her clothes from Top Shop, H+M or whichever of their near-clones (like Oasis or Mosaic) has playground cred this week.
Some might have the social graces not to look embarrassed when their mother buys things for their younger, fashionblind, sisters at street markets. But few manage even that.
