Market days in Umbria

Does anyone know which days are "market days" in the hill towns of Umbria? We are going there in September, and enjoy the energy and excitment of a small town or village on their market day.

Not a small town, but the weekly food market in Perugia is held on Saturday morning. Foligno is Tuesday and Saturday. Gubbio is Tuesday.

As you can see, they vary - naturally, many of the vendors sell in several towns and can't be everywhere at once.

Check out this site, Communi Italiani, which has info on many communities, including links to their official websites. May help you with this and other questions.

Just noticed that at the above site, if you click on "search by region" then click on a province, you will come up with a bigger list of towns than the one on the first page ...

faredolce, you were posting as I was writing. That's a great list! What's your source for that? Looks like a good one!

You know, I was thinking to myself as I pasted it from my travel notes that I don't remember where I found that list!!

I went to Umbria last year, and I researched like crazy. I copied and pasted from so many websites...I lost track. It may have been here!

Hi, I live in Perugia. In Perugia there is a flea market everyday in Piazzale Europa from Monday to Saturday, 8am-2pm. Usually this market takes place in Scalette di S.Ercolano but for a certain period the markek has moved there. Ciao
