Market Days in Loire Valley

I will be on a barge (October) in the eastern Loire Valley, almost bordering on the western Burgundy region. Are there towns with specific market days (similar to towns in Provence)? I'm finding little information on that region. Most literature concentrates either on the chateau region of Loire or the wine route in Burgundy. We will be in between those two areas.

Check out the Patricia Wells Food Lover's Guide to France. She lists town area by area and indicates the market days of each town she lists. If it's not there, you will have trouble finding it.

Julie: Thanks for your suggestion. I will check out Patricia Wells' "Food Lovers Guide to France". Sounds exactly like what I need.<BR>

Ron: Some of the towns we should be in are: Briare, Sancerre, Nevers, Gien, Argenvieres, Cours-les-Barres. We are doing a self-drive barge and are hoping some of the villages are directly on the canal. Also looking for restaurants. Any suggestions. Thanks.
