Thanks so much, Sharon, for helping me by forwarding my files to so many. I do appreciate the help very much!
To anyone else,
if you will please send an email to [email protected],
I'll send you a copy of my Madrid, Seville /Córdoba or Barcelona files via return mail.
They seem to be the most common destinations for those Spain bound.
I'm afraid I don't have just one "super Spain file" with info on all Spanish cities/regions.
Thanks

Maribel, Many thank yous for your generosity. I have read through your files and they have helped my husband and I do our planning. We will be in Barcelona in just two short weeks. At this point, we hope that we've planned a trip with opportunity to soak up a place. We hate rushing around to see this and that.
I want you to know that because of your hotel recommendations for Madrid we have switched our hotel from the Carlos V to the Hotel Residencia Galiano. I e-mailed the Galiano in Spanish and had a very prompt reply. FYI - if we pay in cash, they offered us a 10% discount. This area along the Calle Castellana seems like just the ticket for a nice ending to our time in Spain. I now have our AVE tickets booked for the trip from Sevilla to Madrid. (We decided to leave Seville on Wednesday 25 Feb at 3 rather than the morning of 26 Feb. so we will have three nights in Madrid and two full days.) We looked into the air option from Barcelona to Sevilla for 21 Feb at Andre's recommendation and are still thinking we'll opt for the experience of the TrenHotel. I just wish we could buy the tickets on Renfe's site before we leave. It's a bit of a mystery to me why it's impossible to make TrenHotel reservations online. In any case, I think we'll take care of those tickets once we get to Barcelona on 15 Feb. I'm just one who likes to have all her ducks in a row... We are getting oh, so excited!
In a few days I hope to have enough of our day-to-day itineray thought out to get some input from the helpers on this forum.

Hi Sharon,
I just emailed the Galiano about my reservations there for June. Also got that 10% discount. Every little bit helps now, doesn't it.
I'd like to know what you think about the Barcelona-Seville train hotel, if you don't mind. I've never taken it.
Hope you have a wonderful journey!

Hi Sharon,
It looks like we might be in Barcelona at exactly the same time! From your post, it looks like you will be leaving Barcelona on the 21st. That's when I am leaving. I am getting to Barcelona on the night of the 17th (flying in from Granada).
If you and you husband have any interest in maybe meeting a fellow Fodorite for a drink or lunch or dinner, please email me at [email protected].
I am 34, female, fun-loving and traveling solo this trip. (I'm also going to meet up with another Fodorite in Sevilla the week before). I am leaving this Friday (the 6th), so please try to contact me before that if you are interested.
Have a great time either way!
Karen
