March 2025, contemporary art week in Madrid

ARCOmadrid is the Spain’s International Contemporary Art Fair. This year, 206 galleries from 36 countries will participate, showcasing works by over 1,300 artists. With the presence of both Spanish and international galleries, ARCOmadrid 2025 will showcase the most cutting-edge emerging galleries. Additionally, the growing presence of Latin American galleries and artists will further strengthen its role as a key platform for contemporary art from the region. Around the giant ARCOmadrid there are several satellite fairs that offer other different visions of contemporary art.

You will also find interesting temporary art exhibitions in museums, foundations and galleries around the city, such as "Max Ernst: Surrealism, Art and Cinema", "Sigmar Polke. Affinities Revealed", "Proust and the Arts" and "Twentieth-Century Spanish Art, from Picasso to Barceló" among others. The Public Art Program by UVNT will display several works of art on some streets of central Madrid.

Also in March, the Madrid Design Festival 2025 aims to advocate design as the tool that is capable of providing a new look at the problems and circumstances that mark our daily lives, offering solutions. In this way, design will enter into dialogue with disciplines ranging from science, fashion, music, art and crafts.

Map updated. More interesting exhibitions have been announced, such as

"Picasso's Suite Vollard and the ICO Museum". The complete Suite Vollard housed at the ICO Museum is a Picasso's masterpiece of engraving.

"Andy Warhol. Posters". This is one of the most extensive collections of his famous posters ever assembled. In cooperation with the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, this exhibition is made possible by a generous donation of artists' posters by Hamburg collector Claus von der Osten.
