You should be able to find this info in a guide book on Germany.
It basically goes from Berchtesgaden thru Ramsau and on to Reit Im Winkl and then follow into Garmisch.
Reit Im Winkl is a nice town and worth a stop for lunch. We have not done the section from Salzburg to Berchtesgaden and I cannot remember any specific sign posts designating this route any name.It is mostly promoted as such in guide books. Nice drive! It is closed in the winter so do it in summer.
