map of cesky krumlov
In May we will be driving in the Czech Republic, and it would be so helpful to have a city map of Cesky Krumlov. We have maps of Prague and of the whole country, but would love to be able to enter CK with map in hand. I tried the CZ tourist board, but so far, no response. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

Why don't you just print some of the maps from their tourism website? CK isn't that big a town, those maps are definitely sufficient to give you the main routes. They are probably a little more detailed than the one I had going there, which was in the Frommers guidebook "Prague and the Best of the Czech Republic". That was a good guidebook, though, as it covers Prague very well, and some of the other major places to visit in the CR. So I do recommend the Frommers if you need a guidebook.
You can probably get a map at the tourism office once you are there, but that is near the castle. You might be able to get one at Cedok when you are in Prague, also (that is a big travel agency, used to be state-owned, and they are excellent in there). There is a big Cedok office near Powder Gate.

What do you need a map for?
It's a small town. I don't recall being able to drive into its very center, but since it's about 800 feet from the edge to the center, there'd be no need to. And IF one could, the uneven and cobblestone road would seem to call for an off-road vehicle. When we went, we parked in a lot on the edge of town, walked about 300 feet to a pension, and strolled from there to the center, then up to the castle. I'd guess that it's a good 3 wood shot from the castle to the parking lot. A map would be overkill.
