Malaga, Seville, Granada Itinerary help

We arrive into Malaga on Friday at noon and not counting that day we have 10 days to tour the area.
i was thinking Saturday and Sunday in Malaga and pick up the car on Monday and drive to Ronda and spend the day around the small towns and end up in Seville. Spend 4 days, Tuesday thru Friday in Seville including a day trip to Cordoba. Then on Saturday take the day driving to Granada. Spend Sunday and Monday in Granada and fly home on Tuesday.

is one day enough for Cordoba? i am thinking maybe not. do we need 2 full days 3 nights in Granada? maybe it is just too much to se and take all in int only 10 1/2 days.

Any thought are welcome

Thank you

Whether one day is enough for Cordoba depends on your interests. I spent two very full days there, and would have enjoyed more time. Many people spend just a few hours to see the magnificent Mezquita.

Similarly, how much time you spend in Granada depends on what you want to do there. I spent a full day at the Alhambra and another day and a half visiting other parts of Granada, and again, I would have enjoyed even more time there. Many people manage with two nights.

You'll see some wonderful things no matter what you choose!

I would recommend at least two days in Granada, as kja said. One day at the Alhambra. I also highly recommend trying to get tickets for one of the night sessions there. And then at least a day for the city itself -- the cathedral, the market, etc.

We only did 1 full day in Malaga on our last visit. Still found time to have a great lunch at the market, visit the cathedral, and climb the castle of Gibalfaro which was definitely worth it.

Tons of things to see, do and experience in 3000 year old Málaga (Phoenician Malaka), one of the oldest cities in Europe and the the oldest city in Andalucía together with Cádiz (Phoenician Gadir). And here are some links to pittsburgh's excellent and effective route.

Lunch at the Atarazanas market, right in the heart of town and my favourite food market in all of Spain. Top quality, rich history, relatively small and local atmosphere:

This is the best tapas bar inside the market: http://azahar-spain.com/azahartapas/...do-atarazanas/

The huge 16th century cathedral, popularly known as La Manquita, the one-armed lady: http://www.malagaturismo.com/en/tour...l/catedral/132
A brief history: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/sp...aga-cathedral/
You can now also visit the rooftop of the cathedral: http://www.andalucia.com/cities/mala...roof-top-visit

Málaga is in general a "rooftop city" ;-) https://www.spainfoodsherpas.com/mal...-rooftop-bars/

The Gibralfaro Castle, started in the 10th century under the Cordoban caliph Abd ar-Rahman III, and later rebuilt in the 14th century when Málaga was the main port for the Granada emirate. http://www.andalucia.com/cities/malaga/gibralfaro.htm
Gibralfaro is towering over, and was buil to protect, the Moorish Alcazaba Palace fortress down in the city center with the 1st century Roman theater at its feet: http://www.malagaturismo.com/en/tour...tro-romano/413

Málaga is also several world class museums, it's now Andalucías "city of culture with its so-called 'mile of art' being compared to Madrid, and its dynamism and fine dining to Barcelona."

And of course the typical chiringuitos, can't wait to come back here and have the freshest fish and seafood in the top quality but affordable Málaga beachfront restaurants: https://www.spain-holiday.com/Malaga...nt-restaurants

... and see that you plan to have Saturday and Sunday in Málaga. Then I highly recommend lunch in the Atarazanas market on Saturday, a highlight of the week for many malagueños, fabulous food, electric atmosphere and eventually plenty of GTs around ;-)

And a loooong and laid-back Sunday lunch with friends and family in a chiringuito is a top priority for many locals. I can recommend El Cachalote, right on the Malagueta beach hundred meters from luxcury and old world Gran Hotel Miramar.

And since you arrive in Málaga on Friday noon, I must also recommend the Friday night performances down in the basement in Peña Juan Breva, one of the finest flamenco clubs in Spain. Free entrance, very friendly, many locals and flamenco aficionados, intense atmosphere, only top of the shelf artists (song and guitar).

Also a very flamenco atmosphere bar/restaurant on the ground floor, and an excellent flamenco museum in the floors above. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/m...1479616/360734
