Do a 'tapas' tour. Some suggested venues:
* Cortijo de Pepe at Plaza de la Merced.
* La Cosecha at Calle Echegaray
* The great 'tapas lane': Calle Granada.
My favorite bars there: 'Pepa y Pepe', 'El Pimpi' 'La Taperia' and 'La Casa del Piyayo'.
Enjoy the tapas!

Click here: Bus tours of Malaga, Andalucía, Costa del Sol, Spain

Sorry. I tried to add a link for the hop on and off bus tour offered in Malaga. It would be a great way to see the city. The lovely Cathedral is sure to be open on a Sunday and Malaga has some good restaurants. Revulgo's "tapas" tour is a great idea if you wash the tapas down with some local wine.

hi dame d,

are you sure that the shops won't be open on sunday, especially in the morning? Mondays are usually the worst days in mainland europe.

and I've just googled the picasso museum in malaga to find out that it's open from 10-8 on sundays.

anyway, the tapas tour sounds great.

looks like you'll have more than enough to do!

regards, ann

Don't know if it's still open: on the east end of town there was a 'family style' seafood restaurant w/wooden benchs & tables - an 'all you can eat' type of place that featured fried sardines and various other dishes. Many Malageños used to take the family there for Sunday lunch.
I think it was Casa Paco.

Shops will probably be closed, but maybe El Corte Ingles shall be open, I can find out, and give you more recommendations. Which day you are visiting us?
