Liz - he seems to come on and off. He answered some of my earlier questions a few months ago. Hopefully he'll pop up again.

In case Kimhe doesn’t see this thread, here is a link to his/her response in my thread from last year which provided a lot of restaurant recs. https://www.fodors.com/community/eur...ay-and-eat.cfm

crellston - I missed that post at the time - yt it's about everything I would have recommended with a particular mention of Wendy Gambas which was around the corner from our apartment. The burger was delicious (and very decadent) and all the shrimp outstanding. While you can eat a meal there it's more of a drop in for a drink and a couple of plates kind of place. Very popular.

Also a link to the ex-pat Canadian's website who runs the tapas tour we took in Sevilla - this is her list of Malaga restaurants (and other areas you'll be near)

http://azahar-spain.com/azahartapas/category/malaga/

If the weather is fine in Malaga I'd recommend a beach restaurant visit - it was like a mini holiday.

thanks, crellston & Elizabeth! Liz, would you recommend your tour? I don't object to Canadians

Yes I would - also Jamikins and Scott took it recently and enjoyed it (they did the tapas/flamenco combo tour - I'd do the tapas only and do flamenco separately).

We wanted to take the gourmet tapas tour (on the website) but weren't able to do that one due to last minute logistics so we went on the regular one. We didn't get as much out of it as by that time we had spent over 3 months in Spain in 12 months so much was familiar to us. But Shawn (and Peter) added in extra things for us.

Definitely use her website as a restaurant guide --- excellent information
