Majorca in early April
I am looking at booking a low buget holiday for 2 in early April in Majorca. There are a lot of cheap deals around and I'm trying to pull together what would be the best resort and hotel at that time of year with a low buget choice. I would like some where picturesque with nice bars and restaurants but not the rowdy drink all you can customers. I am aware however that if I pick a quiet location like Camp De Mar for example I may be disappointed to find not much open that early in the season. Has anyone got any ideas for me on choice of location in early April?

April is very nice in Mallorca. Swimming in the sea will be possible, and the island is not crowded, however not deserted. Camp de Mar is a picturesque bay with a beautiful beach. It is a good base to explore the beautiful west coast of Mallorca (Tramunta, Soller, Valldemossa) and Palma. It won't be rowdy, but most bars and restaurants will be open in April.

April in Mallorca can be fantastic before the crowds arrive. Just avoid European school holidays.
Try:
1 Sant Elm(near Andratx)
2 Andratx
3 Portals Nous
4 Pollenca
5 Puerto de Pollenca
6 Alcudia
All either further round the Bay of Palma--1,2,3 or Northern Mallorca 4,5,6.
Just avoid, Palma Nova, Magaluf area--high rise hotels and poor food in the main. East coast Mallorca is a bit remote for me and picturesque is Northern Mallorca and the top of the West Coast.

We liked Porto de Soller, once a small fishing village, now a reasonabl sized resort. Boat trips from the harbour along the very picturesque coast line, buses to Deia, Valldemossa etc. Palma is well worth a day trip- magnificent cathedral and Arab baths.
