Maitaitom - Help with Il Mulino

We are planning a trip to Italy next spring (our 5th) and after a week in Florence, we are wanting to spend some time around Montalcino (we love Brunello). so that is what led me to your posts and the link to your Italy 2005 trip and Chapters 2 & 3. There is so much great information there - thank you so much for posting.

Do you have a website address for the Il Mulino hotel that you found in Chianti? I'd like to check into that for our trip, as well as the Palazzo del Capitano hotel in San Quirico.

You also mentioned that you do intensive research on the various hilltowns, what to see, restaurants, etc... are you willing to share any of that?

My two sisters in law and I are spending the week in Florence - a villa rental that we bid on after several glasses of wine.. and won! So, we are enticing our husbands to join us for another week or longer with some wine tasting in Tuscany. I have a feeling that I'll be the planner for the trip, so I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks for the help.

Patty

Double check which hotel MaiTai stayed in as there are two Capitani in the area, one in Montalcino and one in San Quirico.

There is also a wonderful restaurant in Spello (Umbria) called Il Mulino that is owned by the equally wonderful Pallazo Bocci****. Highly recommend all.

Dayle - Thank you. We spent some time in Spello last year and loved it. We stayed near Spoleto in the country, but visited Spello during the Infiorate.

Maitai - Thank you for the link.
