Well if you don't want to stick out like Americans I wouldn't wear sweat suits or flip flops, baseball hats too maybe. I really liked walking around the Alcazaba and the Picasso musuem was good too.

Better spell it correctly: Malaga.
Cannot recall what the weather was last year, I'll check my photos. In the city, it is never below zero, but it is humid, specially at night.

You can check historical temps on a number of websites, such as wunderground.
You will stick out regardless, so I would not worry about clothing.
For sites, there are countless guidebooks and the web. It is a very small town, but lovely.

This question often comes up. Basically you will stick out manily when you talk, either in Spanish or English. Do not worry about it.
You do not say what sex you are but here are a few photos of Malaga from the web to help you understand the way Spanish dress.

Your hairstyle, eye glasses, shoes, belts, watches, bag and the way you comport yourself all are clues.

Here we go... it has been a while since I had seen a post about what to wear not to "stick out so much"... Wear whatever you want, I don't see any Europeans worried about what they should wear in the US.

And don´t worry...whatever you wear, you´ll be noticeably distinguished as "foreigner" or "guiri", as we say over here. No big deal, Málaga is the capital of one of the most touristic areas in Spain.
