Cuenca has a very fine Abstract Art Museum housed in one of its famous hanging house over the gorge, a lovely cathedral with an excellent English audio guide, several other small museums of note and a simply gorgeous setting, perched above 2 rivers. We’ve made it both a day trip on the fast AVE and also an overnight, staying at the Parador.
It’s also known for its hiking and right now, its Holy Week processions.
