I missed this the first time around. Pondering Seville, Granada and Cordoba for Christmas/New Year's. Need to pore over your report. I'm sure I'll finish feeling starved.

Adding an article from the NYTimes that mentions two of the restaurants discussed in my report from last year, above.

NOTE: Taberna Laredo has moved since I dined there last year.

I am topping this to say that I had recommended our guide in Granada, Juan Cobo, to someone on another forum (TA), who has just contacted me to say that his tour was, once again, superb.

Here is the contact information for this excellent Granada guide, who is fluent in English and whose prices are very reasonable:

I think this is the second time I've read this report, this time from the bottom up. Quite as good as the first time!

Wonderful report! I am planning our trip to Spain for this coming Spring and am so glad I came across this. Thank you.
Need to figure out how to have the report available from the iPad too.
I sent an email to Juan Cobo and hope to hear from him to schedule some touring in Granada.

We stayed at The Ritz in Madrid in 1985 (so long ago!!!) and although our room was very small, we were quite taken by the elegance of the hotel and the people. On this coming trip I am doing combination on B & B's, apartments and hotels ... I am sure it will all be a great adventure.

I second the vote for Juan - we booked him as a guide for the Alhambra in June 2014 (based on reading about him here in ekscrunchy's report!). He was wonderful. I wrote about him in my report of that trip as well.
