Madrid

We will be arriving God willing to the Madrid Barajas airport and have about 3 hours before flying out to my final destination. Does anyone have suggestions and what we can do or see in Madrid? I heard that bull fighting is going on though I dont think we will have time for that.

Thanks

With three hours, you will not time for nothing else. And often gates are far from one another at Barajas.

Do you think bullfights will coincide with your three hour window of opportunity?

As far as bullfighting it was suggested by someone as a must see even though I am not a fan. Apparently its the last day. How about taking a taxi and going for a ride into the city will that be possible? My next flight leaves at around 4 though I know that I have to be back earlier.

By the way thanks for your prompt response I have never posted a question before anywhere!

If you are coming from an international flight you will not have time at all. And if are just making a connecting flight and go out, you would have to do back through security.

And some gates are so far away from each other, there are signs telling you how long your walk will be.

Good grief, don't even try to leave the airport..Your 3 hours will be gobbled up and if not you may caught in grid lock off the site...Have a cafe, vino, or whatever and get to your next gate..

It is only ridiculous if you have been in/through that airport in the past.

I agree with the other posters. Stay at the airport

Even if you had enough time, I'd recommend against the bullfight. Why would you got somewhere to sit in the sun for a couple of hours watching people torment and then kill a bull?
