Madeira

Dipped my toes into the Island a couple of weeks ago on a Cruise from Majorca to the Eastern Caribbean.

Never visited Madeira before, and tbh never went any further afield than Funchal.

But I was captured by how green, lush and picturesque the place was. Definitely on the Bucket List for a much longer visit.

I can recommend the island for a week's winter break, otr even a summer break. The temperature doesn't move up or down that much and every time we've been it's been shirt sleeve weather.

Funchal has lots of good restaurants and a day trip will take you most of the way round the island and a ride up into the mountains is spectacular.
