Lugano to Flüelen?

Based on the recommendation from Ingo we are considering taking the train from Lugano to Flüelen then completing the rest of the trip to Luzern by ferry (weather permitting). Looking at the SBB website there are several stations/stops in Flüelen. Which is the correct stop to make the ferry connection?

Only a few weeks until we leave!

SGV stands for Schiffahrtsgesellschaft Vierwaldstattersee, the operator of the lake steamers.

Twenty years ago we took a train into Flüelen and then a ship across the lake to Luzern. I remember only one station in Flüelen, from which there was a walk of about two or three blocks to the dock.

Hi,

I am sure you'll like it. By the way, I did a ferry trip on the lake when it was pouring and enjoyed it as well. It's just different!

I also had a look at the SBB website. For example, if you take the train 9.36 from Lugano you'll arrive 11.40 at Flüelen. The SBB site says it is only a 3 minutes walk to the ferry stop. And a ferry (steamer) leaves 12.05 - good connection! Arrival 15.10 at Luzern. (the ferry operates until 26 Sept).

Perfect! I was able to go to the SBB site and print a few timetables so we will have the info when we get there. Thank you!
