Which figure? That is what MO charges - or at least did a couple of years ago. Or did you mean the high cost tour fuzzbucket mentioned?

Well, Debi, as I said you may have spoken without knowledge, because Michael is a bargain and a very knowledgeable one at that. I'm sorry you didn't know. LOL
When he quoted me his price, I asked "per person" (we would be 8) and he said, "no" for all.

I used Michael Osman back In '06 and it was 100€ for the day. It was just me. We had an inexpensive lunch which I paid. So if he's only charging 150€ or so now, seems a bargain to me.

Another huge recommendation for Michael Osman. Based on what he was charging a few years ago, the rates mentioned would be accurate.

It often takes a while to hear from him because he's so busy with his tours that he takes care of requests in order of dates of visit and spends a lot of time on his replies. When he's busy, he has only late at night and early in the morning (before and after tours) for e-mail correspondence.

If you're interested, please be patient and resist the urge to send your request over and over again or admonish him for not answering quickly.

And, if Michael is not available for your dates, anyone he recommends, particularly Scott, will be just fine.

We hired Michael back in 2004. He charged us 75 euro for the whole day. He was with us from 10am until about 6:30. We paid for lunch, a couple glasses of wine(our choice) and any entrance fees. It was a great bargain.

I do believe that he does it because he enjoys sharing his knowledge. That was one of the best days of our vacation and we had a lot of really nice days.

But above and far beyond the price, his commentary wherever we were was so good and anecdotal--NOT a canned regurgitation of a site/sight. He is a truly charming man-we LOVE him!!
