it wouldn’t let me post this in the Iceland subforum.

I’m looking for someone who wants to join me in hiking the Fimmvorduháls trail on 2nd (preferably) or 3rd September. I hope I’m not too late on this. 🙂

I’m seeking company for safety reasons, cause I read it’s advisable to do it with a guide & it’s my first time hiking in Iceland.

So I’m hoping to find:

• Somebody or a group who is experienced/confident to the trail unguided

Or

• 7 people to do a guided tour with me, since the booking requires at least 8 (thoug maybe 4 are enough. 1 site shows conflicting info. I’ll clarify.)

The guided hike is 43.000 ISK p.p.., 10-14h & includes a ride from Hvollsvöllur to Skogar & from Thorsmörk back to Hvollsv..

For anyone who doesn’t know about Fimmvorduháls: It a trail between Skogafoss & Thorsmörk, passes between 2 glaciers & is supposedly f*cking AMAZING. ^^
I read National Geographic ranked it as one of the top hikes in the WORLD.

About me: I’m 24 y.o., from Germany, a chill guy who loves nature & I can assure u I won’t annoy u with endless talking about things u don’t care about. ^^

Hi again, I’m still looking for company for the Fimmvorduháls, but now for Aug. 24, 25 or 26th (preferred in this order), cause we’ll probably do our round trip counter-clockwise now, due to the weather.

Underturtle - welcome to Fodor's. You're unlikely to find a hiking partner here, I'm afraid. I suggest you post this over on TripAdvisor if you haven't already. Their Iceland forum gets a lot more traffic than this one.
