I assume that you mean Yohji Yamamoto as in the prominent Japanese designer? I'm not aware of any such shop opening in Dover St, but I will go for a walk to have a look, although I'd imagine it more likely to be in the road off of Dover St where Garrard are now located.

Can't remember where I read this; see if I can find it, but it was in Mayfair, and it was going to be a large store, with room for other designers as well.

I'd be interested in reading about that, as Mayfair is really single designer boutiques.. There is a new Browns shop opening soon in Davies St opposite Claridge's, maybe that will be specialising in those designers.

Sorry MK; got my Japanese designers mixed up. It's Rei Kawakubo, of Comme des Garcon, and it's called Dover Street Market, 17/18 Dover Street. It was in October Vogue. Sounds very interesting.

I'm trying to think where that is, presumably off of Dover St, although I'm not aware of it - this explains the Comme des Garcons store in Davies St becoming vacant for possession by Browns.

I will go for a little walk tomorrow, and explore for you!

Patrick, go to the Donmar website - www.donmarwarehouse.com - where you can sign up to receive e-mail bulletins which will tell you when tickets go on sale.

I've found this generally a good bet for all the theatres, especially since I stopped all my postal mailings when I left London. Having missed out on the first run of 'His Dark Materials' at the NT, I signed up for e-mail bulletins & was therefore able to book around March to see it in January 2005 !!

One step ahead of you. Yes, I've been on their mailing list now for a couple of years -- since I ordered the Take Me Out tickets, I believe.
