London Vacation Apt. Rentals
We rented an apt. last time we were in London, but unfortunately that particular apt is no longer for short-term rent. Many of the agencies require a week stay, and we will be there only 4 nights. Does anyone know anything (good or bad) about these two sites (I'm not even sure if they are agencies, or private owners, like VRBO):

http://www.a1vacations.com/london/s/482/fa/find.squery
What about VRBO? We've used it elsewhere successfully, but I know, for example, everyone recommends against it in New York, so I wonder if London is OK.
Thanks for your advice.

Londonguestsuites is a very good agency - and it will have properties for a lot less than Basil Street. Basil Street are great - but much more expensive than I am usually willing to spend.
a1vacations is a bit like vrbo or homelidays. You deal w/ the individual owners. Some good/great, some not . . . .

Three times I've rented a flat in London and used these with success:

I've used London Guest Suites lots of times. Some of their flats rent for less than a week but if you find one you like that states it requires a 7 day minimum, ask about it anyway since your stay might fit into an empty slot.
Never hurts to ask.

Look at www.slowtrav.com for reviews of London apartments by travelers as well as comments on the rental agencies.
