LONDON-TURKEY, THEN WHAT?

My sister and I are heading to Italy, but stopping in Turkey (her husband is from there). I've been to a couple of places on a cruise and found the Turkish people to be very warm and welcoming. Anyway, we are landing in Dalaman, which I thought was right near Boudron and Antalya, but it's not and I can't change ticket. Please recommend a beach area near Dalaman we can taxi to for a few days before we go to Istanbul? Thanks, made a mistake!

Well there's always Olu Deniz which was popular and buzzing (but still low rise) 13 years ago.

No idea what it is like now. But nothig could spoil the gorgeous beach, and it's only 1hr 30 mins from Dalaman airport, if that helps.

Thanks for the advice,I'll check into it. Also, my sister wants to visit Pamukkale, but I've read some negative things on hotels there. If we have to choose between that or Cappodoccia (sp) which should it be?

haven't been to Pamukkale for the reasons you mention. It must have been beautiful once (in the 60s, 70s?) but suspect not now. The other reason is that it is one feature in an area - whereas Cappodocia is a whole region well worth seeing (probably also overrun though).

Cappadocia, definitely. The beauty of Pamukkale is gone (although the ruins of Hierapolis close by are still interesting). But Cappadocia is amazing.
