Take the train, much more reliable than having to worry about possible traffic delays.Last time I left London we took the Heathrow Express and did fine. The same day there was a wreck on the expressway and traffic was delayed for hours.

From Vic Station you can take the tube to LHR but it's a long ride with many stops and you have carry around luggage. The Heathrow Express leaves from Paddington Station and not Vic Station. You could take a cab to Paddington then a train to LHR but for about the same money you could use a car service such as justairports.com. Traffic shouldn't be too bad on a Saturday morning, I would use Just Airports. They can tell you the best time to leave for the airport.

"<i>. . . . . and it is an international flight.</i>"
"international flight" doesn't tell us enough. There is a reason we ask follow up questions, we aren't being nosy. For instance, if your flight is to the States - the advance check in is usually longer than for flights to some other places.
"<i> . . . . believe 2 hours ahead.</i>" You should make sure if that is the case - some airlines require more

If you are near Victoria Station then the quickest & cheapest way IS to take the Tube from Victoria - all you need to do is get off at Hammersmith, walk a few feet to the adjacent platform then take the next Piccadilly Line Tube to your terminal

I think that's a wise decision Joanel. I used the tube once from Heathrow and it was cheap but not worth the hassle due to the luggage we were carrying. I think you will be pleased with Just Airports.
