I always fly BA, they're the cheapest and most convenient if booked in advance.

You might want to look at Eurostar, but it's rather slow, and not particularly cheap either.

We go back and forth between Brussels and London every week and find the Eurostar train most convenient. There are some good fare specials...you can travel RT in second (standard) class for abot 90 euros. We've looked into flights and decided that they weren't as convenient as the train and actually took longer when you factor in getting to and from the airport, the need to get to airport at least one hour in advance, waiting for luggage (if you check any), and then getting into town. You also have to add the cost of getting to/from the airport whereas the Eurostar puts you right into London or Brussels.

I must agree, the Eurostar is way more convenient, even for me who lives not far from Heathrow! It all depends on budget, of course, but I suspect by the time you factor in transfers, etc there won't be much difference in cost.

The train journey is two and a half hours or less, with a check-in time of 30 minutes, so will be quicker than flying. Sadly, Eurostar fares are like airline fares, so you have to book well in advance to get a sensible fare, but I cannot image why anyone would want to fly from London to Brussels.
