London Theatre Tickets

My friends and I would like to see Phantom of the Opera on May 17th in London. Since this is not a new show, do you think I would be safe in getting last minute tickets in London?

How many of you are there?? I think that while not new it is popular with tours and so doesn't show up for discounted tix often. If you are flexible and not many people you could probably get some if you went to the box office when you first arrive. Depends also how many days you can play with / mote obviously being better.

As Jamikins says - the show is still popular but not a sell out like in years past. Tickets are available most days but not necessarily at the price range or in the seating area you want.

If your date was flexible, you could wait. But if the 17th is the only possible day -- then definitely book ahead (as would be the case w/ any show)

You can try the Time Out London website for discount tickets. They show availability on May 17:

Thanks all. I decided to go ahead and order tickets but found that the only seats I could find were marked "RV" meaning restricted view. I decided against trying to go to the theatre while in London.

I appreciate the responses. This is a great forum. So many helpful people.

There are so many great (better I think) shows on in London right now. What about Wicked? We really enjoyed it and its a great spectacle of a show with great music.
