London - REALLY cheap accomodation

Hello! I´m going alone to London this week and I need your help to find a cheap hostel or B&B in London. I want to spend around 15-20 pounds...only! Does anyone knows any place where I can have a single private room (no problem about sharing facilities) in a central (or near) location?
Thanks in advance! nanda

Look into a B&B called The Crescent Inn. It's in Bloomsbury, very close to the British Museum and the National Gallery of Art.

Well, there are a surprising number of inexpensive places in Bloomsbury, also in an area known as Earl's Court...when I was younger and traveled cheap and light, rather than going in a hotel and asking the rate, I'd just go in and ask what can you give me for X amount per night. Particularly in Earl's Court we were rarely turned away.

Hi nanda - I almost hate to post this as it's always seemed a little bit like a "secret" to me......but if you can get in, there's a PERFECT place for your requirements....
The University College of London has a dormitory called Astor College, located at Charlotte and Howland. They normally are full with medical students at the university, but when they have available rooms, they'll let them out for what I recall is darn near nothing.

The rooms are clean, the facility is in a great location, its safe, the only downside (if you consider it one) is that facilities are "down the hall"...much the same as you'd expect with any college dorms.
I'm sure you can find Astor College on the web, and you're going to want to get in touch with the "bursar's office" IIRC.
Best wishes for a great trip!!
