London Plays

What are some play recommendations in London? I do like musicals but would consider something else. What about Moulin Rouge or Tina?

I always check out what's playing at the Donmar Warehouse in London, for plays. I'm less a fan of musicals, but I've heard Moulin Rouge was wonderful in NYC. And I saw Hamilton in London for much less money than in AMerica, and that was wonderful. TimeOut London will have listings and ideas. I see Cabaret is in previews--which is one of the greatest musicals there is--but not sure if it'll be running in January. Also, if you're less invested, you can likely find something great for less money at the TKTS booth on the day of. Sometimes, I've bought evening tickets and regretted it. After spending a day absorbing museums/galleries, I've been pretty tired sitting through a performance. But then, I live in a great theater city, so have lots of opportunities to see theater so perhaps value London/NYC experiences less than others who might have less choices in their home cities.

thanks for this info. I was not able to get Hamiliton tickets. I hear what you say about being tired sometimes for an evening performance.
