janisj I was able to book the Holiday Inn Express in Earls Court. I am looking forward to the small neighborhood too.
It looks like there is a bus stop right at the hotel and a tube stop within a few minutes walk. Thank you for the push to change hotels.

Nope
It is south of the river (which is fine in other sections) - but Vauxhall only has one nearby tube station and it only has the Victoria Line which means you will be changing at Victoria or Green Park to get anywhere.
I'd just stick w/ the HI Earls Court.
