London House

Has anyone stayed at the London House (through Price Apartments) who might be able to give me some feedback on it? A friend and I are thinking of possibly staying there for a week in mid-September. We're on a fairly tight budget (350-450 BP) and this is one of the possibilities that has come up so far in the area we're looking at (Bayswater, Paddington). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Giggle, there is more than one London House (or slight variation) in London. What is the address?

I haven't stayed there - but Nick Price (Price Apts) has received good reviews for his service, prices etc. craven Hill is in a pretty convenient location - close to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens/Kensington Palace. it is near Lancaster Gate and Queensway tube stations on the Central Line and Bayswater on the Circle line so you could get anywhere. And its not far from Paddington station, Nottinghill and Protobello Road. If the price is good it is a fine neighborhood.

I was wondering if it was the same London House that my family stayed in in 2000. Last minute trip to London and everything I tried to book was full. It's VERY basic and a little tatty. Fire alarm sounded twice in the middle of the night one night. Rabbit warren hallways. We had a large triple with a small kitchenette. The bathroom was beyond miniscule, old but clean. It was a roof over our heads, though. Safe, treesy residential neighborhood.

I'm lukewarm about staying there again. But if I were on a strict budget, I'd consider it over staying home. Check out the cost thru www.laterooms.com. I think you can only book three weeks out on that site, but you shouldn't have any problem doing that in mid-September.

Let me know what you end up doing.

Giggle, type London House into the text search box at the top of the page. There are a couple of reviews there, including one I posted earlier.
