London hotels..one more time
I have visited London many times, the last visit was in 2019.
We stayed in apartments, but this time I prefer a hotel .
I am considering a week before or after the August Bank holiday.( Hope the weather cools down)
i think the Covent Garden area would be right for me…the price range 300-350 pounds.
Any suggestions ? Thx.

We also stayed at the Hoxton Holborn a couple of times and decided to find something quieter in Convent Garden. We liked the hotel and it’s close to some good museums, theatres and great restaurants (Barrafina and The Barbary).

I’m fond of the Wilde hotel chain in London, I’ve stayed at three of them now. Last time I stayed in the Covent Garden location was in 2020 so it’s been a few years but I loved it. Now that one is a bit too pricey for me, but it’s in your budget.

They have little kitchenettes but there is no onsite bar or restaurant, if that is important to you. I had a top floor room with fantastic views.

Last time in London we stayed at The Bloomsbury, near the British Museum, as reasonable walk to Covent Garden. https://www.doylecollection.com/hote...oomsbury-hotel. Price is about right.

We stayed at the Strand Palace in April of 2022. The rooms and staff were nice. The restaurant was okay. Covent Garden and Rules are just out the door and around the corner. Easy walk to Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations.

I would take a look at https://www.thelondoner.com marketed as the worlds first "super boutique" hotel. It is in a great location on Leicester Square , a couple of minutes from Covent Garden. Should come in around your budget

My sister goes to London a lot more than I do.
She's lately been very fond of Duke's hotel. Knowing her taste, it's probably on the small side and has great service, but I don't know the price..
I just looked it up on TA and the reviews are very good, But it's closed for renovation so maybe just forget the idea..maybe for next time!
