Some here have recommended VRBO (vacation rentals by owner) easily googled, others use this:

http://www.farnum-christ.com/

I've used
http://www.londonguestsuites.com and they also have a good selection in Knightsbridge where I always stay and also Kensington. Good luck.

Depending on the age of the other grandchild you might consider bidding for 2 4* rooms on Priceline.

We started traveling to europe with my 2 step-daughters when they were 11 and 14 - London and Paris the first trip - and always got them their own room. (Sharing a bath with 2 tween/teen girls IS NOT possible - besides you all need some privacy after spending the whole day together most of the time.)
