London Fire Strike
Leaving this week for London.
Just how shut down is the tube?
How much longer are the lines?

I have seen that certain stations of the tube are closed.
But, this does not affect the above ground trains, does it? Specifically the Gatwick Express or ThamesLink??

Any helpful info appreciated.
Hi Chris,
No, it doesn't affect the above ground trains, don't worry!
When the strike was on, they closed all the really deep stations with lifts, but it's never too far to walk to get to another station. There were lists up everywhere of which ones were closed. Don't forget about the buses too - might take a bit longer, but more fun, especially for a tourist as you can see some sights on your journey,

Will the Heathrow Express be running to Paddington on Thursday, 11/28? That's one of the strike days per the BAA site. If not to Paddington, what would be the closest stop to Paddington to get off at?

Leslie, the proposed strike of fire and security workers at the BAA airports has been suspended, so the Heathrow Express should be running.
