Tower of London, first thing in the morning is a great idea. If you can be there at opening, you should be able to get your tickets quickly. Then head directly to the jewels. If you are there first thing, you might even be able to walk backwards on the moving walkway and take a good look at the jewels.
I have to question Hampton Court/Museum of London/Harrods/S.H.Pub - How are you getting to Hampton Court? I haven't driven there, but I have taken the train twice, and it is a longish ride (don't remember exactly). And then it took me several hours to take the palace tour, look at the gardens & gift shop, didn't do the maze, then return by train, took almost the whole day for me.
I LOVE the Museum of London. I spent five hours getting from the beginning to 1900 (the rest was closed due to remodeling in 2002).
Harrods could also take several hours.

Melissa, I have followed your trip planning and have enjoyed your queries and it has also helped me with our own plans - thanks for letting the Fodorites help with the details!
You may already know about this (sorry if I missed it) but did you know about the 2 for 1 admission to Hampton Court? If not, check the website http://www.2for1entry.co.uk/

I think you are going to have a hart time fitting in everything on your schedule on Aug 23, even counting the fact that you all like to have very busy days.
The Museum of London is very close to St. Pauls. Maybe it could be squeezed over to that day.
Enjoy!

Thanks for fine tuning my schedule.
I will find another day for the Museum of london.
And Yes as I have rented a flat in London, we are keeping it while we are way the one night in Stratford.
Also, I have sent away for ceremony of the keys tickets but have not gotten them yet.
