We did the Eye last August, buying tickets just before sunset on a clear day and felt worth the time and $$. Line only took 5-10 min. Great experience, even for those in our group of 8 who had issues with heights...soon overcame that and walked about. Agree it is so slow moving you won't have "ride" experience so don't expect that if with small children wanting thrill--it is for the VIEW.
