The Great British Bed and Breakfast Guide lists hundreds of bed and breakfasts with photos, amenities, prices, phone and fax numbers and email addresses. It's available at major book store chains or at Amazon.com. The book's entire contents are also online at www.kgp-publishing.co.uk Its contents include both London and the areas of your interest.

I don't see the need for contacting a travel agent for information with so many websites available to you. Check out the following:
www.visitbritain
www.city.net/coountries/united_kingdom
www.great-britain.org and
www.dedicate.co.uk/@uk
The "dedicate" website has hundreds of links to tourist boards of counties, cities, towns and regions throughout Great Britain.

I was in London this May and stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast in Kensington for approx. 40 pounds a night per person. The hosts were extremely accomodating and you can't beat the location. I got the referral from the Best Bed and Breakfast guide for England,Scotland and Wales. You should definitely check it out. The # in the London section of the book is #39. The house is located in Warwick Gardens. As far as Wales, I have a great place to stay in Cardiff. It called the Town House. It's also a great place to stay.

We are leaving Thursday to London-will be at very inexpensive hotel, Royal National--near Russell Square-- Found Stratford on Avon touristy and disappointing, but Warwick is a must--write for more details...
