Keith, congrats! DH and I spent our 20th anniversary at Eiffel. A proposal there is indeed difficult to "top".
Just started looking at the photos. You are good. What camera took such great night shots without a tripod? Inquiring minds want to know!

OK have read the full report and continue to admire your photos. DH's and my first trip to Paris was almost a replica of your trip so it was a wonderful vicarious re-visit.
Great report and congrats again.

Nice pix...the one from the chunnel train with the village with church reminded us of how many such villages & churches we passed on that part of the London-Paris run through the French countryside. Lovely!

Thank you, TDudette. I am using a Canon SX20. Have you posted any of your photos online?
ssander, that was one of the hardest photos to take. The train is often beside trees or a berm. The other places, I sitll had to avoid the utility poles zooming past.

Am making note of the camera. Of course, I can't duplicate your "eye" for a shot!

The format you used is nice and I may try to re-do some older trip diaries with the photos therein. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!
