London 2012, Only A Dream
Discouraged by others and since I am no “Rockstar”, I cancel my plans to visit London for the 2012 Olympics. Had I done months of planning and research or purchased a guidebook, I would have known it would have been impossible to go to the Olympics on short notice and get tickets to Olympics events like Men's Volleyball Quarter Finals.
I would have really been in a pickle had I visited London without advance planning. Anyway, I have been told that walking the Thames at night is awful something only tourist do. It is mundane to take pictures of the lighted bridges and buildings which I gather are very ugly. Furthermore, I have been told the London Bridge is in Arizona not in London so I save a lot of money not flying to London to see the London Bridge.
I am sure glad I did not go to London as I am sure I would have been disappointed and not enjoyed myself. Although London has what I consider some neat and sad history, I am told it would be immoral to walk in the footsteps of tragedy. I sure I glad I did not go because I probably would have liked to do a “Jack The Ripper” walking talk but then I would have been considered a bigot.
I guess I can look forward to Rio 2016 and do lots of research and planning so maybe I won't get myself in a pickle and maybe I can see some equestrian events there. I sure hope no tragedies have occurred in Brazil or they erase them all before 2016. I would really like to visit Brazil but don't want to do anything immoral or be called a bigot.

Having followed all four of your live trip report threads from the 2012 London Olympics, I am crushed.
Maybe trip reports that only happen in ones head belong in the Lounge so as not to confuse those of us who believe what they read in the destination forums...

I was hoping for a report for a new destination but it seems that you're "stuck" in London!
Dearest DMB, it was you from this thread http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...mpic-shame.cfm who suggested that it was impossible to buy tickets, especially for Americans for the Olympics while the Olympics was happening.
Again my dear DMB nobody suggested for you to buy a guidebook for London and in previous threads people have only suggested that you buy one for a destination that you have not been to before. You have mentioned that you've been to London prior right?
And again my dear DMB nobody had criticise you for taking the ripper tour but rather for your use of the world "jew" or your prejudice towards the Jewish people.
Can't wait to ready about your next adventure. Please don't make me wait until Rio 2016 before you post something new!

bardo1,
This post is an answer to the critics of my actual trip reports and as you can see even now they are still not happy
The responses here except yours convinces me that the critics will be critical of anything posted because that is all they know to do is to be critical.
They can not seem to enjoy a trip report for what it is, just a travel experience that maybe different from their own. Something they obviously cannot accept. From my postings, I have been told that I am immoral and prejudice. As one critic posted:
Let me be clear, you are not considered a bigot you are a bigot.
This poster has even gone as far as to ask Fodors to remove my trip reports. So far, that has not happened and I am not sure why because most definitely I am a bigot, maybe even a racist too
