DMBTraveler: you're apparently quite new to Fodors and haven't realized how the trashtalkers have taken over this website.

I was reading a rather old thread for some travel information and was a bit surprised at the many familiar names who no longer post here. They gave good travel information along with a dash of humor.

I hope you're right and that we'll have those fun days again - but probably not until 2017.

Have been around since 2009 but have never seen this level of "haters" and "trashtalkers".

One cannot post here without some level of criticism from the same people over and over again. Quite "mundane" if you ask me.

Unfortunately, it seems that they are catered to by the fact that they are allowed to continue to spread their negativity. Oppose their point of view and face the wrath of gods.

However, I am not afraid of them and will continue to post my travel experiences and points of view. I will do my part to try and bring back the fun and humor this forum use to be

DMB: Hate speech is hate speech, no matter the ethnic makeup, etc. of the hatemonger.

The internet has bred a new species of cowards who hide behind the anonymity of the web and feel they can say any trashy thing they please. There's this constant need to bully strangers, sometimes in a bullying group - guess it must be a whole lot of fun for them.

Please do continue your travel postings. There are still plenty of us who consider Fodors a travel website.
