Loire Valley etc
Hello. I am planning to fly to Tours and explore Loire Valley, Bordeaux and then up to Brittany / Normandy (for our honeymoon). Any recommendations would be fantastic. We love quaint villages, forests, parks, historic towns and good accomodation and food.

Omit Bordeaux area - - too much to try to see/do already (unless you hsave a month).
Even without Bordeaux, there are three lengthy possible answers here - - for Loire, Brittany and Normandy. So much to like in all three.
Chenonceaux
Chateau d'Artigny
Beuvron (en Auge)
Arromanches
Honfleur
Paimpol
Mont St Michel
Giverny
Chartres (not in any of the three, but on the way)
These are eight of the hundreds of options (so many of which I have NOT visited) - - that I have mentioned on this forum.
Whatever your decisions, congratulations on your new life in marriage... and...
Best wishes,
Rex

We enjoyed our two-night stay in Amboise two years ago. It was a pleasant day's bike from there to Chenonceaux through pretty countryside/vineyards/etc. And the town itself was very pleasant to just walk around.
