Lodging in Verona

Hello,
I am traveling to Italy with my parents in mid-June of this year. We are hoping to stay in Verona for 2 nights, but everywhere I look on tripadvisor, kayak, etc. is sold out. I am surprised the hotels are all booking up this far in advance. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I am hoping someone here might have a hotel or B&B recommendation for Verona. We can go up to $250 USD per night, and would ideally like something in town, that is clean and nice. My parents are in their 60's and my husband and I are in our 30's.

Thanks!

Last time we were in Verona we stayed at the Grand; this coming July we will be in the Accademia.

Another possibility is the Best Western Hotel Firenze and it has availability for dates in June of this year.

One reason hotels sell out in Verona is due to the opera performances in the summer

Have you tried looking on Venere.com?

We stayed at the Hotel Giberti in Verona and booked it through Venere. It is located between the old center and the railroad station. It is modern as opposed to a converted historical building and has elevators. The breakfast was very
good-buffet style. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel but we are walkers. It was a great base to take day trips from-just walk to the station and hop on a train.

Try the booking.com website. I found it very helpful because you can apply many levels of filter and sort according to various criteria.
