We stayed 4 nights at the lovely "Bellevue Rheinhotel" in Boppard in May/2017. The hotel is directly behind Boppard's river cruises dock. Its breakfast room has large windows looking out to the Rhine river. Just pay attention to the room feature and size, and book a room that you'll be happy with.
The hotel is a 6 to 7 minutes walk from Boppard train station with some slops (slopping down toward the river.) If you have luggage and prefer to take a taxi, it will be a short ride.
