A friend recommends the Convento Santa Franceso Romana in the Trastavere, 61 Via dei Vascellari. 06581 2125. Simple rooms with and without baths, curfew at 11 pm.

She wanted to stay an extra day there but they were booked so she moved onto the Franciscan House of Hospitality at 35 Via Nicolo V/ 0639366561. No curfew and I think she paid about $50.

There's also a book titled Bed and Blessings which reviews many convent hotels throughout Italy.
