lodging in a convent in roma

We will be traveling to roma in a few months and we have been searching for a convent for lodging. I have heard that they are very nice and can be very inexpensive. Does anyone have information they can share?

search "convents" on the fodor site. There are many messages. We stayed at Casa Beata Margherita Caini and found it very comfortable, clean, and convenient to Vatican sites.

A friend recommends the Convento Santa Franceso Romana in the Trastavere, 61 Via dei Vascellari. 06581 2125. Simple rooms with and without baths, curfew at 11 pm.

She wanted to stay an extra day there but they were booked so she moved onto the Franciscan House of Hospitality at 35 Via Nicolo V/ 0639366561. No curfew and I think she paid about $50.

There's also a book titled Bed and Blessings which reviews many convent hotels throughout Italy.
