Lodging & Transportation in Chichester
My wife and I are going to Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2013 and have some questions about the hotels or B & B's in the area. We plan to get there by train from London and try and make do without a car. Can we get taxi's or shuttle from Chichester to Goodwood is the big concern. Any information you may have would be a big help, hotels B&B's and taxi's or shuttles.
Thanks

There are usually buses every 15 minutes or so from more or less outside Chichester railway station during the festival. There's obviously a limited number of taxis around Chichester, and organising to get one back is likely to be tricky.
Your obvious challenge is to find somewhere to stay that lets you get to the bus stop. Obviously town centre hotels will be in easy walking distance: most B&Bs won't be, though their proprietors will probably have dealt with this before.

Johnwatson85's tip is certainly a good one. For the festival of Speed in Goodwood, look at a place in New South Wales. Just a 90 minute drive to Sydney, Australia, a 26 hour plane journey to London, Bus from Heathrow to Woking (1 hour) and another 90 minutes train to Chichester before catching the shuttlebus - its practically walking distance.
