As I recall, the Radisson is the best, or one of the two best hotels in town (the other being two blocks away, but I forget the name). Advice from the hotel desk on restaurants was good. Shops for amber are numerous, but we did reasonably within a few blocks of the hotel -- left as you face the front. Just look in more than one shop!

This from experience in March.

A few years ago we stayed at Stikliu Hotel in Vilnius. It is a medium sized hotel which was quite elegant, although the room we had was small. We looked at the rooms in the Radisson, and they seemed small also.

moncef- At that time, the conversion was 4 Lita fof $1. We got Lita by ATM, no problem.

In addition to inyourpocket, try www.vilnius.lt
