Lisbon to Obidos and Sightseeing around Lisbon

Does anybody have info on bus from Lisbon to Obidos and maybe return by train?
Also, is there an organized all day tour from Lisbon that includes Sintra, Cascais, and maybe a couple of other towns?

Try the website for Inside Lisbon Tours.

I think they have what you are looking for as we are looking for a short walking tour of Lisbon and I found the information.

They also answered an email I sent with a question.

Thank you, Sher, for very useful info. Contacted Inside Lisbon Tour and made reservation for two tours that cover exactly what we hoped to see. Have a great trip.

swissmisstwo.
You also.

Let me know how you like them if you return before the middle of October when we leave.

Obidos is one of the finest walled medieval looking towns in Europe. Those with more time will find the local Pousada (?), the Portugeuse equivalent of the Spanish Paradors system is in a really old part of town right by the walls i believe.
Sintra is fantastic too. Cascais has always been a let down for me.

Obidos was wonderful. If you are spending the night there is another wonderful hotel (besides the Pousada, and considerably less expensive) - the Albergaria Josefa d'Óbidos. I posted a review of it (and Obidos in general) on my recent trip report - http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34854723

We drove so I don't know about getting there by bus. But getting to Sintra by public transportation is very easy, by train it takes less than an hour.

Have you asked Matt or lobo on the Things to do in and around Lisbon thread?
