More dining that we liked-
And old favorite, Pap d’Açorda, moved from Bairro Alto to the Time Out Mercado da Ribeira.
Taberna da Rua das Flores at Rua das Flores 103, next to Camões Square in Chiado, fairly new but looks like an old “mom and pop” type grocery store, with vintage decor. Closed Sundays. A favorite of Mesa Marcada and Salsa de Chiles professional food blogs.

Peixeria da Esquina (formerly Cervejaria), at Rua Correia Teles 56 in the artsy Campo do Ourique district (on the #28 tram route)-one of 2 restaurants there, owned by chef Victor Sobral. The other we didn’t get to try, Tasca da Esquina.
Well worth the taxi ride.

De Castro Elías, Avenida Elías García 180, very near the Gulbenkian, opened by the former chef of Largo- chef serves a menu of “small plates”, reasonably priced.

Ibo, cuisine from Mozambique, at Cais do Sodré
Closed Sun. dinner & Mon.

New, didn't try-on list for next trip:
Aqui Há Pexe at Rua da Trinidade 18, where the Chiado meets the trendy Bairro Alto.

Casa de Pasto at Rua de S. Paulo 20, just above the Cais do Sodré.
Chef trained at Per Se and at Roca Moo in Barcelona. Closed Sundays.

Alma by Henrique Sá Pessoa, in the Chiado district at Rua da Anchieta 15. Closed Mon. Very highly regarded.

We loved the Avenida Palace, and its location. It's flat, and easy to walk either direction to the waterside, shop, dine, people watch. It's fabulous. Did you contact the hotel directly? It's hard to believe it could be all filled up.
We loved Cascais. A short train ride. There's a gorgeous & elegant hotel there, right over the beach, where I suggest you get lunch or dinner:
The Albatroz Hotel in Cascai
Rua Frederico Arouca
100- 2750- 353 Cascais

Restaurants in Lisbon we recommend:
1 “Duval”, Rue Nova da Trinidade No 11 H/K
1200- 301 Lisboa

2. "Sancho"-- This place was very near our hotel, and looked good, so we stopped in for dinner. Service was excellent and fish was fresh and good. I had prawns and DH had salmon.
“Restaurante Sancho”,
Travessa da Gloria n.o. 14
1250- 118 Lisboa

3. We did NOT like “Restaurante Valentino”, although it is a lovely restaurant, outside seating, on a charming narrow cobblestoned street directly down from our hotel. It had been recommended by our concierge.
Our experience was not good—service took forever, and both our orders were delivered wrong. We had to wait a while for the new orders to be delivered. The manager apologized, but offered no comp drink while we waited. The food was mediocre, shrimp was scarce in our sauce, pasta was too al dente. We noticed other diners were also drumming their fingers on the tables, waiting for their food. Maybe it was an off-night, as our waiter seemed to be new, didn’t speak English, and required the assistance of the manager several times. The restaurant was full, outside and in.

RE: TAP Portugal-- it's a very nice airline. We took it from Lisbon to London. Really nice lounge at the Lisbon airport, if you can get in. Just because we'd used Mileage Plus miles to fly TAP, that put us in Business Class, and we gained access to the lounge.
