I have stayed at Glin and Adare. I prefer Adare. It is a 5 star manorbut more like a cstle with a golf course, forses, a wonderful garden, etc.

Glen is nice too - a 4-5 star mock castle, much smaller and run more like an upscale b&B.

You will enjoy either one.

Dunraven is not in the same league at all, more of a coutry manor for the horsey set.

I just got back from Ireland and if you are really going to splurge for a hotel in the Limerick area, go to Dromoland Castle. I got a very good rate on their b&b package. Ask for the McDounagh Suite. The service and accomodations at Dromoland are top notch and you can't beat the setting. My only mistake was not booking a longer stay. I hated to leave.

Agree with the above poster. We stayed at Dromoland Castle two weeks ago and loved it. A wonderful memory of Ireland! It is a real castle conveted to a hotel, not a hotel that was built to look like a castle.
