Lille questions

Hi all. Input and suggestions, please:

1) A hotel to stay that is not far from the train station, or easily accessed from the train station. Clean, quiet, doesn't have to be 5-star, but not Motel 6, either.

2) I will be coming from Paris, spending a night in Lille, and the next day (late afternoon/evening) heading to Delft. Should I reserve the trains to/from Lille?

3) I will definitely visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Any other Lille recommendations of things you enjoyed while there?

Thanks.

I recommend one of the Accor hotels, where I often stay when I come to Lille. I have stayed in about 12 different ones, so I know which ones I prefer. When I find a good rate, I like the Suite Novotel behind the Lille Europe station, even though it is actually the least convenient. But Lille is not a huge city, so it just means an extra 10 minutes of walking. I also like the Ibis Vieux Lille, which is in a perfect location just a few minutes from the Lille Flandres station. I am returning to Lille in April for the fantastic Lille 3000 event (this time the subject is Eldorado and highlights Mexico). I will be staying at the Ibis Styles Lille Centre Grand Place, which is very close to the Ibis Vieux Lille.

I have also stayed in many non-Accor hotels, mostly across from the Lille-Flandres station, but I really prefer the quality of the Accor places.

I second Philly's question about other Lille recommendations! Planning a trip there sometime soon as well.

The train from Paris to Lille should be reserved. I got my upcoming ticket for 12 euros, but if I bought it for a train leaving an hour from now, the fare is 63 euros.

In nearby Lens - trains there - is the Louvre's northern France museum:
